OMG test driving the GTR!! That would be hot!!! Well I think if you want to do that you better dress to impress. I doubt they will let just any one take test drive it without really wanting to buy it. It'll be like thinking your buying a BMW for like 80k instead your at a Nissan dealer (unless they put it under the Infiniti name, which I hope they dont).

Even if you are daddy I don't know about any test drives, when I ordered my STi in 2003 I put money down to hold one and was not allowed to test drive it until the day I went down to actually buy it. With the waiting lists and everything with new sports cars why waste miles on a beater test drive car when people will be dying to hand over money for the new skyline.

I think he was just saying they don't let you test drive stuff like that. I know it was the same way w/ Evo IXs when I bought my car.

Yea it was the same with me when I bought my 9. I was allowed to drive the used evos though but not the new ones obviously. Considering I think there wont be many units made no td's will be allowed. Its either show them the money or get losed window shoper

Well I dont think its crazy rather logical. You dont want every kid that saw fast an furious to just take it for a spin. Only serious buyers who have the money. lol

speed freak - I agree with you

bluebird - you do only want serious buyers but it is crazy when even serious buyers cannot test drive until the papers are drawn up.

I worked for BMW and sold many M cars.

The first dealer I worked for believed that it was critical to drive the cars, even the M cars, so we always had at least one hat we would use as a demo.

The second dealer I worked for never let anyone drive the M cars unless a deal was drawn up and approved... most of the time. There were a few exceptions... like that time that I took Shaun White (snowboarding superstar) for a drive in an M5. Sometimes I really miss that job... :30: but then I wake up. :20:
