So yea im a noob here. And i joined so that i could share some pics that i took on my phone today when i was at 7-11. I saw 5 new GT-R's when i was getting a drink in the 7-11 parking lot. They were doing a run from Lake Tahoe to Fernley Raceway. So I took some pics and a video on my phone and thought i would share them. I had my brother put them up on our ringo profile, but i noticed he put down some wrong info on the car, and im just too lazy to change it. haha. So here it is. Let me know if you cant view them. There should be like 7 pics i think.

My avatar over to the left is one of the pictures. I only took pics of 2 of them. There were 3 silver and 2 red.

Yea. The red is beautiful. Especially in person, but for some reason I personally liked the silver. Wait.. you ordered one? haha. Thats cool. Yea. Thats not what i was expecting to see when i pull up to get a monster at 7-11.. It made me and my EVO X feel tiny and unwanted.. lol

Hey whait you have the evo x? How do you like it? I have a gg evo 9 gsr and contemplating on getting a evo x but I am not too sure on the performance factor. Can you feel me in on this? Also nice pics of the gtr welcome to the forum.

I would like to hear your reveiw of the X as well

bluebird

Yes because I heard that the X lost some of its raw performance heritage as it took on a new demographic for marketing purposes. But since you own one I would like to hear your take on it. I know its about 300# heavier and comes with about 6 more crank hp and comes with bigger brakes and the aluminum roof but how do you really like it and how does it feel?

Ok this is just me. I've only had the car for 2 weeks now. But compared to the evo 9 i like the evo X better. The added weight, you cant really tell a difference. I love the car. Its powerful, comfortable to ride in. Its an all around fun car. Its a blast to drive. Like i said you dont really notice the added weight at all.. Truthfully its a beast. haha. And bluebird if you bought it, i think you wouldnt be dissapointed at all. You would love it alot more then ur evo9.

My new step dad is a photographer for a couple car magazines and he took a few pictures of my car and did some editing on them. I put them up on this link for all to see.

My baby.

Have you ever owned a evo 9? And if so tell me a little about it. Also I havent driven the X but 300# is alot of weight not to notice. However, the car does come with alot more than the 9 came with. I did see that when I checked them out at the dealer.

Also I see you got the evo with the added body kit and different rims. And that color is very nice. I love my gg color though.

Where did you buy the evo from? I got mine from south coast mitsu.

No i've never owned and evo 9. I almost bought one, but i decided on the X only because they didnt have the evo 9 MR. Otherwise im sure i would have gotten the 9. and saved some $$$, but i like my 10. Well you do notice it a little bit. But not alot. I got mine from Allison Reno Mitsubishi.

The mr imho was not worth it. all you got was the extra gear and in some years the aluminum roof and a couple extras interior wise and the air brake guides. They were selling those like at least for 4grand more and in some places almost 8grand more. It was rediculous. Not to mention every mr I raced I beat in my gsr and the rs was the fastest. I dunno imho the gsr was the best bang for the buck.

Yea the mr was about 8k more up here where i am. I guess just because its more $$$ doesnt really mean its better.

Yeah it definitely wasnt. UNlike cars like the gt-r where its definitely worth the extra money to buy a gt-r instead of a gt or gts. Same thing with the supra its worth it to buy the 5mgte or the 7mgte or the 1jz and 2jz turbo engines rather than the non turboed supras. Because of the amount of work that has to be done to change it from NA to turbo. Even the trannys need to be swapped to ones like the r154 or the getrag.

Well regardless very nice evo and thanks for sharing your input with us. You know one thing I really didnt like about the evo X? The turbo placement is in the back now! That really made me mad! lol Now its going to be very difficult to do turbo swaps the srt4 sits the same way and it sucks to work on that car. lol

Umm... yeah you didnt know that? I see much to learn for your future lol. I would hope you open your hood more than that. That car is no joke you must know what your doing when owning an evo. Or else you will be out a car very quick. So you better start learning or you better have deep pockets.

When I first bought my evo I knew much about it already. Not to mention a couple of my friends already had evos so I learned from them. I see you are in reno nevada. Im not too far away I am in fairfield, ca which is near sacramento.

Yea i dont know anybody with evo's. They all have tricked out wrx's and sti's, but i do see alot of evo VIII's and IX's. I think i've only seen like 3 EVO X's not including mine driving around town.

Yea its all good, there is alot of subis running around but they have been here longer. But the 9 imho is the best evo toget right now but who knows that may change as time goes on. Once the mods catch up to the X it may shift. But as of right now the 9 has it beat performance wise anyways. The X is very nice though. Definitely a nicer interior so now it will compete better against the sti.

It says you an only view the pictures if you are your friend, and that you are not accepting friends. Do you have a flickr account?

Ok try it now, I had to change a setting on it.. And also. My new step dad is a photographer for a new tuner magazine coming out and we got the opportunity to keep the new GT-R for a few day's down in LA. Let me just say. OMG it's an amazing car, when he let me drive it and i punched the gas and was at 100mph in only a few seconds my legs got all warm and fuzzy feeling... Literally.. I put up some new pics that i took with my phone. they're on my ringo page as well. here's the link. When i get the pics off my camera i'll put them up also. We also didnt get the color that we had requested because somebody broke the windshield on it so in a couple months we might be able to go down and do the same thing with a red one.

pretty cool, have you seen any other cars that have not been released yet? No unfortunately I haven't. In the near future he said he's going to be dong super high performance cars though, but he wont tell me what they are yet. So I hope they're something really cool.
